🌟 Washington County Library Board Meeting Date:09/12/2024 3:30 PM in-person at 1080 West Clydesdale Drive on Thursday, September 12 at 3:30 pm.
This lawsuit involves millions of your taxpayer dollars. We should all be paying attention.
🌟 UPDATE ON ZONING CHANGES/ORDINANCE/MAP: I’ve received calls from several constituents with questions about the new zoning rules. The ordinance that was passed out of committee last month was not the correct ordinance. That’s where a lot of the confusion is coming in. Here’s the response I got from the Planning Department when I asked about contradictions in what was said at the hearing and what was actually in the ordinance:
“Good morning JP Coger,
It should be "approval conditions" not a CUP as being used now. Every project needs to have approval conditions and guidelines to insure public safety and surrounding compatibility. This issue was adjusted earlier, but fir (sic) some reason, the copy that was attached to the service committee agenda was outdated.
Brian and I are working through the entire code to eliminate any discrepancies and typos.
I shall upload the new update code once I get back to the office by mid of next week.

As of 9/7/24, there are at least 759 people reported as incarcerated in our county jail (likely more as some bookings are “restricted” and don’t show on the public dashboard) 86 of those are listed as homeless.
